Hello everyone,
It was down to the wire, but I've finally submitted my IVF scholarship packet in the mail today. My husband and I feel that this may be our last hope of conceiving a child of our own since we had an ectopic pregnancy (two yrs ago). It was found that when I had a LAP that I can only have children through IVF or adoption. I welcome all of your encouragement & support during this waiting time, for it is filled with anticipation.....I understand that not all canidates are chosen, but a little hope & prayer goes along way

Well let me see if I can offer a little bit of encouragement for you. You submitted your package in Oct.? Its been a couple months (I think) since you posted, have you heard anything yet? I submitted my package in March 2008 and INCIID called me July 7, 2008 and told me we had been selected. I found out about the INCIID the Heart Program in Nov 2007 and it took me that long to pull all the info. together to send to INCIID. July 7th was a bitter/sweet day as my grandmother passed away the same day but I was elated to get that call regardless (she would have been as well)!! Since July 7th I've been focusing on raising the $3,000. I'm happy to say we're almost there with approx. $2,470 raised as of Friday. All I can say is hang in there, its an emotional ride as you well know, but take it one day at a time and one prayer at a time.

Thank You TinaT annd Monkeefan73 (I hoped I spelled it correctly). It has been two months since I have submitted my packet, I am waiting patiently,and not giving up faith for I know something good will come out of it.
Tina- I must say your reply was very encouraging, and I wish you all the best on your fundraising...it appears that you are very close & I know you must be excited. I would love for you to keep me posted on your journey with INCIID, and hopefully we will be able to offer each other some encouragement through this process.....

Hey Tina,
I neglected to answer your question if I have heard from INCIID yet- Well, I have heard from them...via email that is. They were/are having a problem with debiting my account for my monthly donation. I figured they would because when I had initially registered I plugged in all my correct information (correctly), but when the confirmation screen appeared my expiration date was wrong. Soooooo, I've tried on numerous accounts to contact them, and I finally got a response via email, and I sent in all of my correct info AGAIN!...That was two weeks ago, and they still have not debited my account nor have they sent me a response...I know this may be TMI but I just needed to vent about it because it makes me nervous, and I don't want it hold me back from being selected especially when I set aside my donation money every month, and its still in my account...

Tina T...Your encouragement has gone along way! I received a call today (voice message, because I was at work) from INCIID stating that I have been chosen as a scholarship canidate..I am so thrilled with joy, I don't know what else to do besides to thank God & INCIID for allowing me to have this opportunity. Let the fund raising begin!

Congratulations babieswanted!!!! Isn't that awesome when you get that news???!!!! I'm very happy for you!!! Now, like you said on to the fundraiser which I believe you'll be very successful in. It took us from July 08 to Dec. 08, but we have met our $3000 requirement and actually we've exceeded it!!!! Praise God!!! He is so good!!! Yep, praise Him for bringing this awesome opportunity to you and thank INCIID for choosing you!!! They are an amazing organization!! Where to began

I am soooo excitied I know I need to start the fundraising process, but I'm uncertain of where to began. I left a voice message & email for Nancy, but due to the hoilday I don't expect to get any further direction on the details on how to began the fundraiser until after the New Year....Or should I start on my own?

I'd probably wait to hear back from Linda or Nancy. The fundraiser has to be approved by them. So whatever ideas you have for raising the money probably needs to be run by them and approved by them. I ended up having some VERY GENEROUS donations. All I had to do was send letters to people I know and love (you can get copies of that letter from Linda or Nancy). I raised the money in 5 months because of very generous people in my life. Total letters I sent were probably 30 or 40 and then I sent emails as well and some of the people I sent the emails to sent it on to people in the address book so there were people that donated that I didn't even know too!! Hope this encourages you!!
