        Beta #2

Our numbers for the 2nd beta hcg= 156. Wow. This is surreal. I still have to look at the hpt to remind myself that this is not a dream. I am pregnant. We sooo happy. I am scheduled for an ultra sound in 2 weeks.

          Hi Tracee --

I am SO thrilled for you! You feel like you want to pinch yourself, huh? Congratulations!

I'm about to begin stimming tomorrow night. I'm kind of nervous about doing it...what if I have a wierd reaction? How did you feel while stimming? I'll be doing 75 iu of Gonal-F and 75 iu of Menopur.

          All the best,
          Christine

            No need to be nervous...

            Christine,

I thought I'd pipe in and offer some insight on your question regarding how will you feel during stimulation. I did the IVF 2 years ago and can remember each and every event that took place (vividly). My entire process went so smoothly and without really any discomfort (including egg retrieval). I do remember however, being extremely tired the week before they did the egg retrieval. My body made 14 eggs so it was definitely working overtime. I also have Cystic Fibrosis (CF) though so I'm more tired than the normal individual anyway so that may have played into it. I understand the anxiety you're feeling and that's normal. I promise you, it will be fine. I'll say a prayer for you that all goes well and the end result will be the same as Tracees.

            Have a Blessed Day!

            -Tina

              Stimulation is not bad, Christine.

I took Gonal-F 450 IU 6-days and Menapur 75 IU 1-day. I did not feel anything until the last couple of days. I was not in pain, but I did feel a little pressure in my ovary (I only have one).

Thank you SO much for your reassurance, Tina. I can't tell you how much reading your message put me at ease.

                Best,

Thanks, Tracee. I'm taking much less of the meds that you did, so hopefully that will keep me from feeling anything wierd. I'm SO happy for your pregnancy, and hope I have the same fate!

                  best wishes,
                  Christine
