Final update (for now...)

I did the official beta test today and it was negative, as we knew. The nurse was very sweet on the phone. We didn't manage to make an appointment with the doctor yet but I'll do that next week and hopefully we won't have to wait too long to get in to him. Then we'll evaluate our options and figure out what we are going to do now.

I want to thank you all for the support over the last few weeks. It meant a lot to me. I wish everyone on this board a lot of success, and for those of you who are waiting to be matched, I hope it happens quickly!

I'll be lurking around here checking up on everyone! :-)

I made an appointment today and it is not until April 8th. :-( I am not sure if I want to cycle again or not but I don't want to wait so long just to talk about it.

Sigh. I may try to get an appointment privately instead which may be quicker (but a lot more $$.)

What is a private appointment?

I know this is different than the system in the US, but here, everyone has health insurance. Unfortunately, the waiting time to get in to a specific doctor can be quite long. So some doctors also are part of a private medical service where the patient pays out of pocket. If I make an appointment privately and not through my health insurance, then the waiting time should be much shorter.
