  • Back from transfer...

Thanks to anyone who offered their advice yesterday. My dh and I were really wavering btwn one and two embryos. Thank god, my girls were born healthy at almost 38 weeks but the pregnancy was hard and I was hospitalized for almost a month. We decided that the risks outweighed the positive and were leaning very strongly towards transferring just one if the quality was good.

Turned out that the quality was excellent - 8 celled grade A embryo at three days. The doctor didn't even want to discuss putting back more than one. So, we went with one and are hoping that it sticks!!

Phew...so glad that the hard medical part is over...now I just have to be on pins and needles until we test...

    Whew! (success ment)

Sounds like you are totally at peace with your decision! That's half the battle right there! Sorry- I didn't even see your post until this morning so I am a little late in the game. :-) I have done IVF twice & transferred 2 embies each time (singletons successes each time).

I'll be watching for your updates! Hope to see you on the Beta Board real soon!
