Hi Patti and Levana!! Thanks for checking in on me So there are 17 eggs and today we will find out how many are mature and fertilized. The pain lingered for a long while after the retrieval so they gave me an 800 mg ibuprofen in addition to the IV pain meds. The anesthesia hit me pretty hard and I had a hard time waking up and when I did wake up I was very nauseous and threw up in the car on the way home. After that I felt a little better but had bouts of nausea all night and slept for about 12 hours. But I am happy to have completed that part of the process and that we have more eggs than expected! I have a little tenderness in my abdomen today but it's not that bad.

I think you can expect to be sore with how many eggs you got. That is fantastic! I hope by now your little embryos are growing like mad. Keep us updated when you know more...and in the meantime, take care of yourself and take it easy. I know how rough that can be. ((hugs!))

Nine fertilized is amazing. I'm really happy for you. If you transfer 1 or 2 or even 3, you'll still have some to freeze. Awesome!

Thanks everyone!! I am waiting for another update today. Yesterday we had several that were developing normally and two that were developing more rapidly than the rest so they weren't sure when the transfer would be, either tomorrow or Wednesday.

Overall I feel ok physically, the ovary pain is getting better. I do have this weird digestion issue though, it's like everything I eat all day long just sits in my stomach and then it all processes while I'm sleeping. That started on retrieval day.

Sorry that your stomach isn't doing so well. Everything with an IVF typically messes my stomach up, too.

Hey everyone, thanks for all of your thoughts but unfortunately there was no transfer. Somehow they all started dying at the last minute. So right now I just feel very cheated and bewildered.
