Not looking good, unfortunately. We should be finding out on Monday but she's already spotting and getting her typical monthly symptoms. Seems like the same ol same ol.
The doctor didn't monitor her at all during the 2WW, is that typical for everyone?
How about you? Is everything going OK for you so far?
Ooh, I'm sorry to hear that. :-( Hopefully it will turn out to be nothing; I think women can spot around the time that their period is expected and it doesn't necessarily mean that something is wrong. Hoping for the best for you both!
I was monitored seven days in to the 2ww with a bloodtest to check progesterone and estradiol levels.
Her cycle is in full swing already, even with the prometrium. I don't think it's going to hit us hard until she goes in for her test on Monday. That's usually when the flood gates open.
Well we made it through without too many water works. We go in for our follow up with the doctor later this week. Think I'm going to get a bit more assertive this time and set some expectations. This organization likes to be hands off after the transfer, which I understand, let nature do it's thing. But nature hasn't been doing it's thing for the last 4 years. My definition of insanity is repeating the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. I think I'm fine with a pure science baby. Maybe he/she will be the next Einstein. haha.
Thanks for everyone's support. My wife isn't too comfortable with sites like these but it's kind of therapeutic to me and in turn helps me support her.
We had a good meeting with our RE. We found out that we were the main topic of discussion in our practice's last board meeting... I can't help but laugh at that. It feels good to have pretty much the whole practice championing our cause, I just wish it wasn't necessary.
Pending a little mini-battle we are having with the company we bought our IVF treatments through, our RE is going to be putting us on a very closely monitored, and somewhat custom plan in hopes to getting these eggs to show up like they should. We need eggs, lots and lots of eggs!
We'll probably not start until the summer so in the mean time, we'll have some fun and put all this away for a while. I wish everyone the very best with your treatments and you are all in my thoughts.
I'm so glad that you had a good follow up with your doctor. Those can be very, very exhausting and tiring! Enjoy your time off - and I hope all goes wonderful with your next cycle.
