  • Gearing up for Aug FET...

    Hi -

I start on BCP tomorrow...and will be ready for my transfer late in August. Is anyone else cycling out there now? Or getting ready for it?

Or anyone just hanging out wanting to say hi?

Woo hoo!! I'm so excited for you Patti So with an FET, what kind of medications do you take besides the BCP's?

        Thanks, Tiki and Annette!

Starting with BCPs, the meds are: Lupron, Progesterone, Medrol (steroid pills), and estrogen patches. It is much less intensive than an IVF, but I've already started with headaches from the BCP's. Ugh. All of my meds showed up yesterday. Our nurse review is on 7/26...the day I start Lupron. I'm getting really nervous now.

That medication list doesn't sound as daunting as a fresh cycle so that's good. Hopefully you won't have to be on the BCP's for long. Do you have a transfer date yet or how does that work?

Our schedule was set based on our doctor's availability. Since there was NO reason our last one didn't work, HE wanted to do the transfer. We have done additional checking on me - including immunology stuff - all was normal. We did genetic testing on the totcicles - 3 of the 4 left are totally normal (the other one is probably fine). The only catch was the transfer itself.

So, we're booked 4 months before Christmas - August 25. We go in next Wed for the nurse review - that got moved up for us.
