      Hi!

How did your appointment go? Are they going to do the lap soon?

they said no surgery! He said he thought it was pointless. He also said I needed to lose weight because the fat produces estrogen and thats why it is being aggressive. I have already started a diest two weeks ago so we will see. He gave me meds to get by. Its either lose weight or lose my uterus. It was a very upsetting appt.
        How are things with you?

No surgery?! I know that probably isn't the answer you wanted from him, I am very sorry. You know I have been reading a book called "Perfect Hormone Balance for Fertility". I have found it to be really helpful and I lost 8 pounds in 2 months from following the dietary and exercise recommendations in it. So he thinks by losing weight your symptoms will get better then? Do you think you need a second opinion or are you happy with his recommendation?

I had my post-cycle discussion yesterday, it went well. There is a Micro-IVF program that Sher Institute offers and the price is $4,490 plus meds and incidentals, so that might be an option for us. For now we are just going to work on getting healthy

well I had already made the commitment to lose weight and have been on an eating plan sdince the 1st. I figure losing weight and getting healthy cant hurt. I just hope that I can deal with the pain until it starts to help. The only thing I dont agree with is he wanted me to do the lap band. Which you lose about 2 pounds a week on. I am doing that on my own without surgery so I am going to do it on my own. I need to lose about 100 pounds so it will be a long time! But I didnt get this way overnight and I wont lose it overnight either.
that is a good price for ivf. How do you feel about that option?

Yeah I don't see why you would need the lap band if you are already doing well on your own. It's interesting, I always had a hard time losing weight and couldn't figure out why until my doctor said it was caused by PCOS. Do you have an exercise routine that you enjoy? I have a little stair stepper machine and I put on some music and groove away

Well Micro-IVF is definitely more affordable, I just worry about my FSH level because it can't be higher than 9 and my test from June 2008 was at 7.2, I'm not sure how quickly FSH rises over the years.

I have a wii that I like to do when nobody is watching. lol!
I dont know anything about FSH at all. It is all confusing to me.
I have been sick for a few days now with a cold. Just in time to do my CNA training that I need in order to apply to the nursing program. I am tired of being sick!!!!

Ooh that is awesome, I would love to try a wii I heard it really gives you a good workout. What programs do you enjoy the most?

Awww, that stinks that you are sick now on top of everything else. I bet the stress from endo pain made your immune system more susceptible. How long is the CNA training?

I really like the wii fit!

CNA training is three more weeks. I have definitly learned I dont want to be a cna!!! I am only doing this as a requirement for my nursing program!
I lost 3.3 pounds this week!
                    How are things with you?

Does wii fit have different "games" you can play?

Is there anything in particular that you don't like about the cna training? At least it's only temporary

3.3 pounds!!!! Woo hoo good job that's awesome I really need to get back on my stepper machine, I just haven't felt motived since our ivf cycle. Tonight I will make a commitment get on for at least 10 minutes, kind of ease back into it. The hard part is that we don't have heat in the house right now so it's hard to get going when it's so cold.

So I asked my RE if he thought a lap would be a good thing to do before attempting treatment again. He said I should talk with my ob/gyn and if she does do it to send a copy of the surgery report. So...the burning question is how do you know if you need a lap? I mean, like we have talked before, it sounds like symptoms I have are symptoms you have but then at what point in pain severity do they do a lap? I will probably schedule an appointment with my ob/gyn, I'm just wondering if she'll say I have to wait because my pain is not as severe yet.

What's the weather like out there?

The wii does have different games!!! Its a blast!
I dont think I want to to be a cna because I have done the grunt work and I dont want to do it again. Hope that doesnt sound snobby.
How is the stepper going? I am going to weigh myself on monday again! Hope I keep losing!!!
I think any pain is bad enough. It is a personal choice on when it is too much pain.

The weather is cold! We were supposed to get a snow storm but it passed us and it was nice all day!

I am so tired from all the school stuff and it has only just started! I will be glad when the cna stuff is done!

I can understand not wanting to do grunt work after you have already done it before, I think it's only natural to want to progress up the ladder and do other and new things that challenge the brain.

The stepper...well I did 15 minutes on Thursday, I started getting dizzy so I stopped. Friday my period started and you know how that goes, it was hard to move around let alone get on a freakin exercise machine This weekend I really did a lot more thinking about whether to see my ob/gyn about a lap. It seems like the pain goes on longer now, like this time it lasted 3 days when several months ago it increased to 2 days. And the increase in volume of blood worries me, although I don't know if there's anything they can do about that.

Did you weigh yourself yet today? I'm excited to hear how you're progressing

I did weigh myself. I gained.07 pounds!!!! So mad right now plus I just did algebra and I am not ok~!!!!! I think I am constipated rom the pain killers so I really do think thats the issue! It better be.
I personally think you should call and at least talk to him about the lap. It cant hurt and if they remove the endo the bleeding will get better! They are connected!!!
Sorry this is so short but I have to get back to homework. If you are on facebook you can find me under Cathy Thomas!

Well weight can fluctuate a little naturally and if you are constipated that could definitely be the reason. I bet if you weighed yourself later today it would even say something different. But .07 is really nothing and I think you are doing awesome

Oh really, the bleeding would get less too eh? It sure is getting out of control with the bleeding, it seems heavier each month. Have you heard of pine bark extract? It's supposed to be an herbal remedy.

Good luck with your homework! I will look you up on FaceBook
