Hi. Im new to this website so hello and also I have just found out today that I have polycystic ovaries (Im not sure if that means i have the syndrome as I dont display many of the symptoms that Ive just been reading about).
I am trying for a baby and have had 2 miscarriages in the last year and a half and was wondering if there could be a connection between the two and if other people have had similair experiences?

    thanks in advance

I had problems getting pregnant not carrying a pregnancy but that doesn't mean it can't be factoring into things. I'm so sorry about your 2 miscarriages. I would go see an endocrinologist. Good ones will understand PCOS and how to manage it effectively. They could answer your question for you.

I take Metformin XR 2000 mg a day. It helps keep everything in order for me. I also don't have many symptoms. I am not overweight and I don't have the hair issues. But I am completely annovulatory without Met and BCPs.

Good luck and let us know what the doctor has to say.

      Hi there...(m/c and success mentioned)

Welcome to INCIID. I have to say that this place was my "home" while I went through IF treatment, and it was a lifesaver. I am a "classic" PCOS'er...name a symptom, and I have it. I don't know everything about it, but I do know that we tend to have a higher rate of m/c. I also know that many docs believe that taking Metformin for part or all of pregnancy may help us stay pg. I know, for me, my one m/c was when I was not on Met, and my two successful pgs I was on met. So...not sure if it would help you, but I would consider asking for Metformin???

Good luck to you--so many of us who were on this board just a few years ago have moved on to parenting boards--hopefully that will give you hope!
