  • where to find a neoprene vest for therapy?

Spoke with the OT again today about the amount of time Jacob wants to wear his weights. She talked to a PT and 2 other OTs and while they think its fine that he wear the weights they are concerned that he will get use to the current weight and want to wear more and more over time. Basically build up a resistance to the current weight. They felt that something that provided consistent pressure vs. weight might work better for him

They told me to check southpaw but I couldn't find anything there. Any ideas?

    thanks

I think this is what you are looking for

      http://www.southpawenterprises.com/s...oreResults.asp

It's called a "Bear Hug Vest".
If you need one in size small, email me through Inciid. I have one that was literally only worn 1x.

I think that is the one. I'll check with her on Monday and know for sure. I also have to check the sizing too.

Did it just not over big at your house? Teachers describe Jacob as an angel student when he has the ankle weights on but since he can't wear it for long periods of time....

Hopefully this is even something he would like.
        thank you

but I didn't know that, so I went and bought him one. He wore it 1x at home, but didn't need it here. At school, they only put it on him during dancing activities when he would bump and crash into everybody and everything - he needed the weight and pressure to know where his body was.

I didn't need this at home because I had a jumpolene set up in the playroom where he could bounce and crash to his heart's content. He couldn't hurt himself or anyone else!
