Great Update - and Photos - constipation CURED

sorry i have been mia for a while....busy summer.

I am attaching some photos i took earlier today. Ella is doing great now- after a few months of not so great. The doc upped her dose a few weeks ago and it is really helping her.

She has came a long way from even 6 months ago.

Also, we started using the chewable Kirkman probiotics and within 3 weeks, no more constipation. Unbelievable. For FOUR YEARS we have had to give laxatives daily or every other day at the least. Sometimes we would have to even give suppositories. And, we used every trick in the book...ppruine juice, pear, more fiber, less fiber, etc....noting worked. We were using kirkman capsule pro-b's and for some reason they helped but did not "fix" the problem. But, the kirkman chewable pro-b's say they have like 20 billion bacteria...and something in them is working. www.kirkmanlabs.com

My girl turns 5 on Sunday. I cannot believe it. Here are some photos of her being silly today.

I am so happy that you found something that WORKS! That is so awesome!! It must be such a relief for you and for her(!) to have found somthing that actually is taking care of the problem.

Happy (early) birthday to her! Madylin will be 5 on Monday.....isn't it crazy that they are FIVE already?!?!?! Where does the time go??

That is great to hear - we may try it.

First of all - adorable pictures!! What a cutie.

My 7 year old dd also suffers from horrible constipation. Last year it got so bad that it also caused wetting accidents because her bowels were so stretched out and she had lost a lot of muscle control.

She eats a pretty high fiber diet, but she has a few other GI issues (and meds) that complicate things. We finally have it under control by giving her 1/2 cap of miralax every other day and a dose of fletcher's laxative every night (the miralax on its own did not work for us). I would LOVE to get her off of laxatives, including miralax!

We go to see one of her GI specialists in just over a week, so I think I will wait and clear it with him, but if he has no objections, I think that we will try it. Do you give her 1 or 2 wafers a day? Can you buy them in any other stores, or do you have to order through Kirkman's?

Super great photo's and really great update on the kirkman chewables and glad the increased dose of meds are working! I love those black and whites!
