    Ellen

First I want to thank you for taking the time to answer me. I know this is a really difficult time for you and I think of your situation daily and pray you will have the same results my brothers friend has had.Almost 6 years going strong living a good quality of life after being given a 6 month death sentence for the same cancer.

The advocate did call me back and I have a call in to the 504 coordinator for our district. He is telling me she should qualify under social and emotional needs.A behavior support plan. I need to find out our districts policies. I am in Southern Ca but not Los Angeles Unified but a smaller school district.

The homework issues and not completing assignments has been documented by the teacher on report cards and progress reports.Additionally also noted have been focus and distracting behaviors and orginization .So let them try to dispute this. This Momma bear has had enough. Children with special needs get enough negatives and because she can't help this and needs help with it, I am not going to allow her to be stressed and made to feel bad and punished for this any longer.

      Good for you!!!

I'm stunned that it took this long, but thank goodness you are finally getting what you need. And it's amazing how much you are getting done at such a stressful time for your family. I hope this eases some of the worry. You're a true tiger for your family.
