  • Rubber stamped IEP wwyd?

So, we had a good meeting for dd and I think she has an IEP that addresses all her needs. My only issue is that the Sped director's signature is literally rubber stamped in both places. Her principal's signature is authentic, but honestly it makes me wonder whether the secretary just rubber stamps them. Since I am happy with the IEP should I mention anything, or just sign? Thanks.

    I don't think it's a problem

Are you concerned that the IEP might not be valid if it is rubber-stamped?

It's nice to hear that you had a good meeting and that the IEP meets your child's needs.

I guess it did make me question its validity. It may have something to do with knowing the man's personality as well, as he comes across as condescending to parents, and seeing him rubber stamping IEPs seems like he can't even make time for that. I may put something in the comments about it being our preference that he hand sign it, but it is most important that dd gets what she needs.
      Thanks for the thoughts,

I rubber stamp some very big grant letters for my

boss, it's "just the way she rolls."

I think I wouldn't worry about it, it is what it is!

Congrats on your successful IEP! N

Most things are stamped. In all honesty when looking at Wrightslaw site most IEP do not even need to be signed to valid document. As long as things are followed than you should be okay!
