1st day of school Mon. 7/30...

Grant 7th grade has been ready to start since 2nd week of June.
The inclusion special needs teacher is looping with a small group including Grant. How wonderful I liked his LA teacher immediately, and his science teacher too. Jury is still out for math teacher, and that is Grant's weakest area.

Holt 2nd grade would rather have 2 more years of summer, but he will adjust Think this is the last year they will house the Gifted program at another school due to budget cuts. His reg.ed teacher has her gifted endorsement whatever that means and also was teacher of the year at the school 11-12' so I think he will be challenged a bit more. They also clustered a bunch of gifted kids in the classroom-11 total.

Seems strange to start so early!! My dd doesn't start until the Thursday AFTER Labor Day - which doesn't make much sense at all!!

Nancy~ it is early, but they have sort of a balanced calender and I have learned to like it. Grant could not stand to have June, July, & August off from school.

Holt~ seemed as excited when he got home Now I have to wait until 4:40 to hear about Grant's day.

I hope things went well!! Tanner started three weeks ago, but is on a three week break now. Can you believe our boys are in SEVENTH grade? How did that happen??

VAL~ Hope Tanner is enjoying his break, does he attend year around?
I know hard to believe we have 7th graders. Grant is enjoying the first week, he has been on his best behavior

Even Holt likes his teacher, though he was thrilled to wake up today and realize it was Friday!
