Yikes, are oil warmer candles supposed to smoke?

I just bought an oil warmer (with a tealight) from Bath and Body, I lit the tea candle, put 20 drops of oil in the bowl and it's smoking or steaming or something. It smells GREAT! But is this right or is the darn thing going to blow up on me?

some oils do smoke a little. If it's nont unpleasant I wouldn't worry.
