Anyone familar with Herndon, VA?

I am attending a 2 day class there in Feb and my friend may fly up to meet me. Are there any good spas/salons to get a facial or massage? How about restaurants?

You'll probably have to go to Reston for a spa. There is a Red Door Salon in Reston near the Reston Town Center. I can't think of any spas in Herndon but there may be some. If you want something other than a chain restaurant, you'll also want to go to Reston, probably Reston Town Center. Reston borders on Herndon so it's not far at all. Reston Town Center is a lot of fun just too walk around. Here's the link.

Reston is probably the best idea....

Like Kathleen said, for anything like a spa or nicer place to eat. Herndon is small town/older downtown. Reston would have anything you like.
Check out Dulles Town Center also if you want a regular mall....its new, and really nice. This link shows the restaurants outside the mall (mostly chains) if that helps.
