  • How do you remove sticker residue from a tupperware-type container?

I bought a cute little plastic "marinater" container this weekend - but as usual, some idiot decided it would be a great idea to plaster stickers on the outside AND inside of the container... now that I've torn the stickers off, there's sticky residue marking where the stickers once were. How do I easily remove the gummy stuff?
    thanks

Goo Gone...it's an oily type liquid (usually w/ the cleaning stuff) that works miracles. Good luck!

I second the Goo Gone (m)

I was trying to get sticker residue off of a plastic cookie cutter and rubbing alcohol wasn't working. In fact, it was just spreading it around. Then I remembered the GG and Voila! Gone!

I forget what it costs but you use very little. I have the smallest bottle and I don't think that I'm ever going to run out.

Olive or vegetable oil usually works.

I have great luck removing sticky residue from adhesives with cooking oil.

Oil - any kind will work - what kind do you cook in?

Just rub a little cooking oil over the sticky residue. A little rubbing and the sticky stuff will ball up and come off. Then wash as usual.
