  • Johnny Marzetti Spaghetti Pie...

Okay, I made this tonight from The Joy of Cooking and it is wonderful (mmmmm!) BUT, I used 90% lean ground beef, and realized after sampling it that it was not as juicy as I'm sure it could have been.

For those who can cook better than I can (that's probably most of you), is there anything I can add to make this better? It's already cooked and topped w/ breadcrumbs and sharp shredded cheese...it's the "inside" of the spaghetti pie that needs help.

The ingredients are ground beef, onion, bell pepper, garlic, can diced tomates, tomato sauce, oregano, bay leaf, spaghetti (obviously hee hee), shredded sharp chedder cheeze, dry bread crumbs.

    Thanks!

and it called for either light or fat-free cream cheese as part of the filling with the noodles, tomato sauce etc. So that is what I would suggest adding!

Add some olive oil to the top before serving. That should do the trick! Yum. Also add a tiny bit of salt if you think it could use such a kick.
