  • tips or tricks with silicone muffin tin?

I just got one and wasn't really thrilled. Nuts.

I was thinking a mini muffin tin might work better, seems the big ones take too long to bake. Any advice on baking longer/higher temp? I hesitate to do so since you aren't supposed to bake at over 425 and I baked at 400 just now--which was too low, I think.

The ones in the center were particularly undone

    I've heard similar...

the people I know with silicone bakeware have been unimpressed with it, to say the least...

    Can you return it?

      I'm giving it another try

with a recipe I know well... apparently you don't leave the baking sheet under it when you bake...

I think I might need to tweak recipes too, but it's worth a fiddle or two. :-D

I got it at Tues Morning so I don't think I can return it

OMG... I love this thing now!

Ok so the tricks are to 1) raise the temp by at least 5 degrees, 2) use a pizza paddle to put it in and then take it out (don't leave a metal pan in there) and bake for 5-10 min longer.

They came out perfectly and NOTHING, not a crumb, left in the pan. The pan was messy from my blueberry ones that didn't bake right and it took me about 2 seconds to clean it, it cleaned SO easily!

        Big thumbs up!
