Another gold (married in 1990). My engagement ring is an unusal setting, but it still really pretty (not dated). I have a 10th anniversary ring in platinum I wear on my right hand. Gold is really our of favor right now; everything is platinum. My watch is both gold and silver, and I mix metals for necklaces and earrings. Sounds like I wear a bunch of jewelry, but they are all fairly simple, classic pieces.

As far as resetting/replacing - my engagement ring got bent recently (unusal story for another day). I could get it repaired, but I think I want to leave it in it's current state. My engagement ring is sautered to my wedding ring, which is still perfectly intact. I think we will get them unsautered, and get another gold ring (anniversary style) to wear with the original wedding band. The engagement ring is unwearable (too misshapen) if it is unattached to the wedding band. I could not give up wearing my wedding band - too sentimental.

      80's gold...

It's pretty, very small (we were broke), but I wear nothing else in gold. Every other piece of jewelry I have is silver or white gold. I would love to get it replaced on day but it's never seemed to be a priority over other things...not that big a deal.
I like my rings: they're petite (I have teeny fingers, size 4.5), so they fit. But I would love to just have a silver wedding band, no diamonds, or a small band with a few diamonds in channel setting. Something very low-key.
Biggest problem with my diamond now is it's marquis cut (football shape) and if I'm not careful playing with ds, I can scratch him bad. Usually I don't wear them unless I'm out of the house.

Mine is yellow gold which screams "She got married in the 90s!!" I adore my ring but I really want to get the setting changed to platinum. I didn't know it could be dipped in rhodium! Yay, something else I learned from PNO. I will definitely check that out.

I also seem to have lost my wedding band. I am really crushed over it. I want to get it replaced for my 20th anniversary next year.

Also a 90's bride and my band is plain yellow gold. It is bonded to my engagement ring which has a marquis cut diamond and a few smaller diamonds on each side. It's pretty and I'm attached to the sentimentality of it. Back in September for our 15th anniversary dh surprised me with a gorgeous 3 stone anniversary ring. That setting is white gold and I usually wear it on my right hand. Life is too short to worry about mixing my golds.

Platinum band , on the left hand, and antique white gold with a small diamond on the right. The original engagement ring had a diamond that was all flaw -- DH meant the ring to be a down payment on a "real" ring, but I loved the setting, so a few years later my jeweler cousin (who made our wedding rings) reset a proper diamond into the setting and made my DD (then a baby) a beautiful necklace out of the original diamond.

DH's band matches mine, but his is white gold -- platinum would have been a small fortune. They really don't look alike -- his is shiny, and mine looks pretty gun metal these days.

Mine is gold, classic solitaire, knife-edge bands on the bands.

I don't like silver or platinum on me at all. I'm very blonde and pale, and gold looks warmer. Go try on different ones and see what you like!

My wedding band, engagement ring, and wrap ring are all yellow gold. Dh's wedding band is white gold. I have had the prongs of my engagement ring dipped in rhodium before.

fwiw - Platinum seems to be quite popular lately.

Gold. It's a nice ring. I get lots of compliments. DH and I designed it.

My eternity band is platinum (silver in color). I no longer wear gold, so this goes more nicely with my silver and colored jewelry.

                            platinum...

I don't wear anything yellow gold so it didn't make sense to have a ring in it.

Both. White gold and yellow gold; the yellow gold is carved. No stones. I picked it out myself; love it--my engagement ring was my DH's grandfather's plain yellow gold wedding band. Love that also
