Well, the girl seemed great - like she'd be fabulous to work out with. It was kind of a fitness assessment, but just sort of her having me do different stuff to see what my ability was. She kept repeating that I was fit and strong and flexible compared to most of their clients -- so she wasn't really selling me on the need for a trainer! But, I was willing to sign up because i know I can push myself and figured she could help me.
BUT..... when it was all over she shows me the prices.
IT STARTS AT $2,150!!!!! Then goes up to $6,000+
And I have to commit to 3 or 2 days a week minimum. I was in shock. No payment plan either, all up front.
It was totally not what I had in mind. I'm looking for one day a week, then I"ll repeat those exercises at the gym on my own 2 times during the week. Plus the cost! It works out to $79 a session, which I'd be willing to pay if I could just pay for like 5 or 10 at a time and spread them out to once a week. But also, it's not even an hour. It's $79 for 45 minutes.
For that kind of money, I could buy myself and my dh decent, entry-level road bikes, and we could probably get a stationary bike for the basement!
