This is the glaring headline on my Yahoo page.

I admit I haven't paid too much attention to politics since the election other than the heavily headlined items.
Any Dems here concerned about the choices Obama seems to be making before his inauguration?
Not sure if I should be somewhat relieved over his recent decisions or concerned as well. These decisions seem to portray the Obama I saw during the campaign, the Obama that seemed to be always looking for another perspective before taking a firm stance on something. Even his flow of speech seemed to go in circles sometimes. Now it seems the firm stances he made during the election are shifting.
Don't get me wrong - I'm still giving him the benefit of the doubt. I just think McCain got some flack during the campaign because the circumstances of the US in that moment were dire and he was trying to work through his ideals to match the current state of the country. He was labeled erratic and accused of shifting his positions during the economic crisis. On the other hand, Obama held firm through the campaign, never specifying what hard choices he'd have to make once in office. A smart move looking back, but now everyone's concerned he's shifting his position on many campaign talking points, points that got him elected in the first place.
